“KitchenAid Tweets Joke About Obama’s Deadgrandmother”, or “Ways to Fail at Social Media”

The PR agency behind KitchenAid’s twitter account has quite a bit of explaining to do. During the Colorado Presidential Debate, KitchenAid sent out a classy, and not at all dated or sloppy joke about President Obama’s deceased grandmother.

From Adweek:

The full tweet from @KitchenAidUSA, while quickly deleted, was rapidly retweeted by many who saw it appear during the debate. It read: “Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! ‘She died 3 days b4 he became president,’ ” along with the #nbcpolitics hashtag.

This won’t end well…
